Do you provide ___ ?

How long does it take to create a ___ (website, logo, illustration)?
There are many variables that will determine how long it takes to complete a project. Most obvious is the size and scope of the project—creating a website is more time intensive than designing a flier. Another factor is your response time. Sometimes projects can get stalled simply waiting for client approval. In all cases, the more prepared you are from the beginning, the faster we can git ‘er done. I already have a website. Can you maintain it for me?
In general, we do not maintain already existing websites. But if you’re desperate, contact us. There may be a better solution for you.
Do you require a deposit before beginning my project?
We do require an initial deposit, and your deposit is what guarantees your place on our scheduling calendar. For more details on a specific project, just request a quote and we’ll be in touch.
You ask that the logo or photos I provide to be “high resolution”…what exactly does that mean?
Oh, the world of designer lingo. It can be confusing if you’re new to all of this. Well, let’s put it this way. Images can be created or saved at different levels of quality, called resolution. Resolution is measured in “ppi” or “pixels per inch.” The world wide web can only display images at 72ppi. For print quality results, 300ppi is necessary—that’s what we mean by “high resolution”. So if you obtained your image by saving an image you came across online, changes are it is not high resolution. (Not to mention there are probably copyright issues that prevent you from using it legally.)
P.S. You may also hear the term “dpi” or “dots per inch” thrown around when talking about image resolution. Commonly misused—even by designers (!)—this term really only applies to printing output, as printers use dots of ink to depict the square pixels of an image. The correct measure of an image’s resolution is “pixels per inch” at the size it will be used.
Do you provide printing services?
We do not provide printing services for your projects. We will provide you with digital print-ready files that you can send directly to a print shop of your choice. We can also provide you with recommendations of quality printers in the Hampton Roads area that we have found to be reputable, and other printers throughout the US for those who are not local to Southeastern Virginia.
